Great Moments in History with John Brady, Inaugural Edition

We’ve been threatening to add a second regular photoshop feature for quite a while, so here it is. Each week we’ll be publishing a little-known yet significant historical moment featuring LSU head basketball coach John Brady. Few people realize that John Brady is, in fact, one of the “undead” and has been influencing the course of human events for centuries. We figure it’s time for someone to bring this information to the forefront, despite the very real risk that he could get pissed at us, bite a hole in our skulls, and chow down on our brains.

This week we bring you exclusive photos of three different hats Leslie wears when he visits kids in Tennessee and Arkansas. In addition the donning situation appropriate hats, we hear he’s winning over the dads of prospective signees by telling them they’ve “got a real purdy mouth on em’ ” as he shakes their hands for the first time.

Ken Kavanaugh, LSU Tigers #51 (1916-2007)

Ken KavanaughKen Kavanaugh, LSU All-American, College Football Hall of Famer, NFL legend, and decorated World War II bomber pilot, has passed away at the age of 90. He died of pneumonia in Sarasota, Florida, leaving behind a wife of 64 years, a son, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The list of Kavanaugh’s honors, achievements, and records is both striking and humbling. We’ll provide a bulleted list here, but we urge you to follow some of the links to information sources at the end of this post, and to consider buying his biography, which was penned by his son.
