Weekend: LSU Basketball vs Auburn, Lady Tigers vs Miss State, Nothing New on Perrilloux

January 13th, 2007 | ,

The LSU men’s basketball team will face the Auburn Tigers at home in the PMAC at 2pm (CST) on Saturday. The game will be on 98.1 FM in Baton Rouge, and televised by Lincoln Financial Sports.

LSU is 11-4 and 0-1 in the SEC. The Tigers are ranked #13 by the Associated Press and #18 by ESPN/USA Today.

Unranked Auburn is 11-6 and 1-1 in the SEC.

LSU is favored by 15.5 points by the oddsmakers.

Bottom Line: LSU should win this one pretty easily, and it’s a good opportunity for transfer Terry Martin to get playing time and get more comfortable with the offense.

Sunday: #5 LSU Lady Tigers vs Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs

Coming off a loss, the Lady Tigers look to bounce back with a win in Starkville Sunday.

The game is at 2pm (CST) and will be broadcast on 107.3 FM in Baton Rouge.

LSU is 15-2, 1-1 in the SEC. Mississippi State is 10-6, 1-1 in the SEC.

Bottom Line: Look for a blowout.

No New News on the Ryan Perrilloux Criminal Investigation

Nothing new to report since Thursday, really. The only thing we saw that we didn’t report before is confirmation by officials that no other LSU athletes are involved in the investigation. This contradicts numerous message board crapspews over the past week which suggested numerous members of the football team were in trouble.
