Ok, it looks like there’s some substance to this whole “Ryan Perrilloux is in deep doodoo” thing after all. We’re not exactly sure what it’s all about yet, and the rumors continue to fly around the interwebs. But there’s definitely something going on. We’ve collected a handful of key quotes and links from semi-reliable news sources.
From WWL New Orleans:
WWL First News has confirmed from federal authorities that LSU reserve quarterback Ryan Perrilloux is under federal criminal investigation.
From the Times Picayune:
The federal investigation reportedly centers on an alleged counterfeiting ring, according to several sources, but Perrilloux’s name has not been listed in any federal court papers. His coach at East St. John High School, Larry Dauterive, said his former star was questioned by federal agents for more than two hours after last week’s Allstate Sugar Bowl.
From The Advocate:
Baton Rouge lawyer Nathan Fisher has been hired to represent the reserve quarterback.
A New Orleans radio station is reporting that federal authorities in New Orleans are investigating Perrilloux. Fisher said he is Perrilloux’s attorney and that he could not comment about the nature of the investigation, but could only confirm that the investigation is taking place.
Perrilloux has not been booked on any charges, Fisher said. Fisher also said he is unaware of any pending hearings or other court actions scheduled to take place in connection with the investigation.
From the Daily Advertiser:
“I have no information there whatsoever,” Miles said when asked about Perrilloux during a press conference…
“You’re giving me information,” Miles said to the reporter’s question. “I know nothing about what you’re talking about. I do not know if he’s in any trouble whatsoever.”
That’s about all the credible information on Perrilloux-gate there is right now. We’ll post updates as the situation warrants.

I guess Flynn doesn’t have to transfer after all. We might have a situation like Cecil Collins. ‘The star athlete that can’t keep out of trouble’ thing is definately something we do not need right now.
