LSU DC Bo Pelini Still on Minnesota’s List, But Not Near the Top

January 11th, 2007 | , , ,

According to an article in the Star Tribune this morning, Tiger fans can probably breathe a little, but only a little, easier. Defensive Coordinator Bo Pelini is on the Gopher’s list of candidates to replace fired (dumbest firing EVAR) coach Glen Mason, but, at least in this article, only as a footnote. Several prominent names from college football and the NFL appear before Pelini’s.

These names include

  • Indianapolis coach Tony Dungy
  • USC Offensive Coordinator Lane Kiffin
  • TCU coach Gary Patterson
  • Oklahoma Defensive Coordinator Brent Venables

There are a few others mentioned as well. Check out So, who’s in play for Gophers coaching job? for the whole list.
